Overview

Ms. Germann is an associate attorney with Emerzian Shankar Legal Inc. 

Ms. Germann provides transactional and advisory services for the firm’s labor & employment law, education law, and business law practice areas.  For municipal clients, Ms. Germann also provides city-sponsored eviction defense services, including direct representation of tenants in court.

Ms. Germann also supports the firm’s robust workplace and school investigation practice, including for claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, sexual and domestic violence, Title IX, bullying and related matters.  Ms. Germann is also trained in trauma informed investigation strategies. 

Ms. Germann is available to serve as a facilitator for informal resolution of Title IX matters and other complaints, and to serve as a school-appointed advisor in Title IX matters. 

Education & Career Experience

Ms. Germann received her bachelor’s degrees in Communications & Criminal Justice from Central Methodist University (“CMU”) in Fayette, Missouri where she graduated summa cum laude in the top of her class.  She then attended University of Missouri Schol of Law in Columbia Missouri where earned Dean’s List recognition.

Prior to joining Emerzian Shankar Legal Inc., Ms. Germann worked in civil litigation, first as a law clerk and then as an attorney.  During law school, she also provided services at the University of Missouri School of Law Veterans’ Clinic, where she assisted veterans with securing disability benefits and other matters.  Prior to law school, Ms. Germann worked in accounts receivable and payable for a local warehouse in Carrollton Missouri, managing a high volume of accounts, and served as a research assistant and as an editor of The Collegian school newspaper at CMU.  Ms. Germann is a Kappa Beta Gamma and Communications Honors Society alum and played Varsity Volleyball at CMU.
