Overview

The firm’s first hire, Xochilt Valero joined the team in 2019 and has experience in all aspects of the firm’s operations and practice areas. Currently, Ms. Valero manages the firm’s paralegal and other legal support staff and provides overall project management support across the firm’s workflow.

Ms. Valero’s primary areas of practice includes corporate formation and compliance, labor and employment law, and human resources documents and services. Ms. Valero is also experienced in workplace investigations and Title IX case support, including investigation report writing and editing, serving as hearing coordinator and documents manager at Title IX and other education sector internal hearings, and coordinating investigations matters.

Ms. Valero also conducts legal research, collecting and compiling information needed for such analysis from clients and other fact-gathering, and drafting of documents. Ms. Valero uses her considerable multitasking skills and customer service experience to provide detailed administrative support to the attorneys of the firm and their clients.

Education & Career Experience

Ms. Valero is a graduate from College of the Sequoias with an Associates of Science degree in Paralegal Studies. Prior to joining Emerzian Shankar Legal Inc., Ms. Valero worked as a Regional Program Manager where she helped local hospitals raise the standard of patient care and performance metrics. Ms. Valero enjoys reading, traveling, and especially the local community life where she lives with her daughter, Ava.
