Maura Fleming focuses her practice on a broad range of corporate, transactional, and securities matters. Ms. Fleming has represented and advised both public and private companies in every stage of the corporate life cycle, from initial company formation, corporate governance, and technology transactions to mergers and acquisitions and public offerings. Ms. Fleming has provided legal services to venture capital and private equity firms and investors and has provided both company-side and investor-side representation in venture capital financings.
Ms. Fleming attended the University of California, Davis and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations. Ms. Fleming earned her law degree from the Santa Clara University School of Law.
Ms. Fleming has over a decade of experience working in corporate transactional law. Once admitted to practice she began working as an associate at a large law firm in the Bay Area. Ms. Fleming then transitioned to an in-house position at a publicly-traded multinational computer networking equipment company where she served as one of two company attorneys, intimately involved in all aspects of the company’s legal processes. Ms. Fleming has also served as counsel in two other publicly traded companies where she provided strategic insight on corporate risk while ensuring compliance with essential legal requirements. She has also served as counsel at firms where she was responsible for providing legal expertise and contract management services across technology, natural foods and beverages, manufacturing, natural resources, and various other industries.
