Ms. Derryberry is an Attorney with Emerzian Shankar Legal Inc. Ms. Derryberry’s practice focuses on landlord-tenant law. She provides representation to residential tenants through the City of Fresno’s Eviction Protection Program, including in the notice of eviction phase, unlawful detainers, and post-judgement lockouts.

Ms. Derryberry double majored in Philosophy and Art at Cal State Bakersfield, and subsequently earned her law degree from Syracuse University College of Law. During law school, Ms. Derryberry clerked for judges in both state and federal court and conducted research in the areas of criminal and constitutional law.

Once admitted to practice, Ms. Derryberry began her career in legal aid and was promoted to supervising attorney in the landlord-tenant practice area.
