Ms. Johnson is an Attorney with Emerzian Shankar Legal Inc. Ms. Johnson’s practice focuses on landlord-tenant law and work-place investigations.
Ms. Johnson received her bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University in Philosophy with an emphasis in law. She then attended John F. Kennedy University School of Law and earned the Dean’s List recognition twice. She also became a Certified Mediator with the Congress of Neutrals during law school. Post Law school, Ms. Johnson then attended Stanford University to study artificial intelligence. While completing her education Ms. Johnson trained in meditation and received a Certificate for completing 450 hours of meditation issued by the Tze Zhan Monastery.
Once admitted to practice in 2013, Ms. Johnson began her career in Criminal Defense and Family Law. In 2015, Ms. Johnson opened her own Legal Practice and ran it for five years. During that time, she received multiple awards for her defense work such as 10 Best Lawyers Under 40 Issued by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys. Ms. Johnson also ran her own Expungement Clinic helping the youth clean up their criminal records so that they could successfully seek future employment and housing.
Post COVID-19, Ms. Johnson served as Staff Counsel at a Victim’s rights organization. She advocated for victims of crime suffered during the infamous California lockdowns. Ms. Johnson was also responsible for Law Enforcement and Crime Prevention Meetings with the Chief of Police and the District Attorney’s Office to help illuminate the rampant and persistent crime issues during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
