You can now get your HR consulting services for your organization through ES Legal. We use experienced HR professionals and paralegals to assist your organization with day to day HR needs. These include:

  • performance management discussions and conducting employee evaluation meetings
  • disability accommodations and leaves of absence requests
  • assisting in responding to workplace concerns
  • compensation reviews and salary banding projects
  • terminations and offboarding employees

By partnering with ES Legal for your HR needs, you also have access to annual trainings such as, Sexual Harrassment Prevention Training, Manager Training – Wage & Hour Compliance, Manager Training – Human Resourses Law 101, Trauma Informed HR Practices, and Annual New HR Laws. Our HR Team

Ashley Emerzian, Esq.

Ms. Emerzian seeks to learn about her business client’s objectives and aligns transactional and advisory legal services with desired results. She regularly advises such clients regarding compliance with state and federal employment laws and consults regarding business and employment contracts, and policies and procedures.

Inna Shankar, Esq.

Ms. Shankar has substantial experience advising on California and federal employment laws, including employee classifications, independent contractor analysis, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour.

Brittany Contreras, Esq., SHRM-CP

For the firm’s private and non-profit sector clients, Ms. Contreras provides transactional and advisory services on HR law compliance.

Xochilt Valero, SHRM-CP

Ms. Valero provides paralegal support to the firm’s attorneys, including case management, legal research, collecting and compiling information needed for such analysis from clients and other fact-gathering, drafting of documents, and preparation of investigation report exhibits.

Brianna Jakosa

With over fifteen years of HR experience, Ms. Jakosa has a broad range of HR skills functions and has previously served as a director of human resources responsible for managing all of the company’s HR compliance. Ms. Jakosa assists the firm’s clients with day-to-day HR matters such as wage/hour and payroll questions, terminations, recruitment, diversity & inclusion efforts, and leaves of absence.

Sarah Hutchinson

Ms. Hutchinson brings her vast experience in human resources functions and non-profit sector operations. She has experience successfully handling challenging and complex staffing issues, including matters requiring investigation. Ms. Hutchinson supports the firm’s HR consulting work by assisting clients with direct HR support including for onboarding, termination, disability interactives, and other outsourced HR duties.

HR Consulting Pricing

Our HR Consulting service fees are charged in two different ways, on-call and a la carte. 

On-Call HR Pricing

For those clients wanting on-call services, our HR consulting fees are charged in advance based on the number of employees within your organization. Services include onboarding employees, personnel file management, employee trainings, employee and manager coaching, policy development, general HR compliance questions, wage & hour help, leaves of absence management, reasonable accommodations interactive process meetings and management, and terminations. All services provided upon request.

A La Carte HR Pricing

All clients have the option to pay hourly for services as needed upon request of the employer. Our hourly HR consulting rate for services provided by an HR consultant/paralegal (non-attorney) is $175.00/hour and services are charged in 15-minute increments. Invoicing occurs at the end of each month, and payment is due within fifteen days. A la Carte HR services include the HR audit, HR Documents Package, Employee Handbook & Employee Arbitration Agreement, Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, Professional Development Training for Management, and HR Department Professional Development.
